Recently, (10 March 2026) the last hereditary Lords where told to depart from their own house due to a continuation of the 1999 act for the first time since Cromwell. Hereditary lords are a unique part of English heritage and legacy that is worth preserving as they are the most experienced and have long been the most effective and loyal group in the history of English politics and the parliament.
