Notes

Meant to follow the "rules" of adding nations to the United Kingdom flag, as well as follow the rule of tincture perfectly -- the latter task being much harder than it seems. The only side effect is its looking terrible! 😉 The yellow cross of St. David (Wales) is fimbriated in its field (black) on top of (and fimbriated in white to not disturb the rule of tincture) a "counterchanged" cross of red and white for St. George (England) and St. Piran (Cornwall), touching its fields as well through white fimbriation touching the cross of St. George and the black gyrons of the field touching the cross of St. Piran. Then of course, in the background we have the good old "counterchanged" crosses of St. Andrew and St. Patrick for Scotland and (Northern) Ireland, touching their respective fields of white and blue. I have also made the changes Brian Cham has incorporated in his flag of the United Kingdom redesign -- I have a brighter blue to match Scotland's blue and a 3:5 ratio to match the country flags. Disclaimer: I am not British or Cornish. --Thomas Diamantopoulos
